Certified OP Medical Coder

Mommy Jobs Online (https://mommyjobsonline.com) is now looking for someone to fill the position of a Certified OP Medical Coder to work virtually in the U.S. only.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review daily visit notes and procedure reports and coding appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes in a timely manner. Perform routine audits and are responsible for training physicians and staff on ICD-10 and documentation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL BACKGROUND:

MUST be a U.S. citizen. High school diploma or GED.
CPC or an equivalent credential.
Coding in facility, procedural, and E/M coding experience is required. Two or more years billing experience is preferred.
Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) or able to obtain one within two years of hire. An equivalent credential is preferred.
One year of experience in Orthopedic Coding and Medical Coding is preferred.
Training/courses in business office activities.
Strong ethical and moral character references.
Good communication and computer skills.
Completed Anatomy courses.
Have met all ICD-10 proficiency requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Computer, Internet, and a home office set-up.

PAYMENT: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
